Whitehorse Manningham Libraries are holding a YA Lit Fest at Doncaster library on Saturday September 2nd from 11am – 4pm.
This literature even will highlight inspiring Australian authors of young adult books.
There is a fantastic lineup featuring Melina Marchetta, Will Kostakis, Nicole Hayes, Fleur Ferris, Mark Smith, Alice Pung, Melissa Keil and Danielle Binks.
This festival is an opportunity to celebrate Australian YA and get up close with some of Australia’s best loved authors. Participants will hear directly from authors, have the chance to buy books from a Readings popup book store and have them signed. The event will include author talks and panel discussions moderated by local young people who will be given the opportunity to lead the conversation. Adding to the festival atmosphere, food and drinks will be available for sale from food trucks Sliders on Tyres and Rai Thai, as well as the local MC2 cafe.
