Saints and Misfits by S. K. Ali

Janna Yusuf is a 15 year old book nerd, the daughter of the only divorced mother at their mosque.  She has 3 kinds of people in her life:

Saints – those special people moving the world forward.  Sometime you gaze right through them.  They’re in your face so much, you can’t see them, like how you can’t see your own nose.

Misfits – people who don’t belong.  Like how Janna doesn’t fit into her dad’s brand new family, or in the leftover one composed of her mum, her older brother and herself.

Monsters – well, monsters wearing saint masks.  Like the monster in her Mosque, her best friend’s cousin.  People think he is holy, untouchable, but nobody has seen under the mask – except her.
