To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han

Lara Jean keeps love letters to all the boys she has ever had a crush on in an old hatbox her mother gave her.  In these letters she can say all the things she can never say to their faces.  But now, somehow, all the letters have been posted and Lara Jean is faced with all the boys she has ever loved finding out her feelings about them.

Lara Jean has been in love with her neighbour Josh for ages.  The only problem he is her sister’s boyfriend.  When her sister and Josh breakup before Lara Jean’s sister leaves for College in Scotland, how does Lara Jean cope with her crush on Josh but not betray her sister? Well, she pretends to date ex-crush Peter, which gives her cover from Josh and Peter can make his ex-girlfriend jealous after she dumped him.  But what happens when Lara Jean realises she just might not love Josh after all?

This is a light, fun contemporary romance with culturally diverse, likeable characters.  Read the book before you see the movie!
