Tamara and her little cousin are stow-aways on the space freighter her Aunt works on. No-one must know they are there, so Tamara and Tamiki must be silent at all times. When Tamiki is sleeping, Tamara sneaks silently around the freighter through the ventilation ducts. But one day they are attacked by an alien race of “crow-people”. Tamara’s courage and initiative find her captured and taken aboard the alien vessel rather than slaughtered like the rest of the crew, including her Aunt.
Tamara must use all her wits to survived being kidnapped and make her way back to her cousin who she is sure survived the attack on their ship.
